Wow since its been a year, you think I should update??? Well things are still great in Atlanta, though very HOT!!! We still love Chief and Bruiser, our dogs, and we are adopting our 3rd and final dog tomorrow! We are getting a minpin puppy that we are naming Lilly. She is 15 weeks old and blind. We know we will have our hands full, but we are so excited to get her!!!






Things are still good with David's job at Rinnai. He just got a big promotion and that has been good and he has been alot less stressed. I'm due for my yearly review next month, and it can't come soon enough!

Ok so I'm sitting in class bored out of my mind AGAIN!!! This is freaking nuts, not only am I bored, but we got our tests back and while I didn't do bad, she is being a bitch on giving points back when half of the test's questions are tricky and she even admits it!! UGH!!! I hate teachers like this. It doesnt help I pretty much am already done with this class. Its very frustrating and annoying and completly uninteresting.............

ok anyway.....so while I hate the class I LOVE my new job. I love doing the patent work and its really cool and I'm pretty much swamped all the time! I rarely get free time which is a nice change from my last job where I did nothing all the time. My bosses are pretty cool, though I just picked up a third while someone is out on personal leave and she is so high maintenance. I spent 30 min on the phone making her dinner reservations, only to have her pick a different restaurant. UGH so annoying!!!

Hmm lets see what else is new in my life.........David and I are doing well, we have been in GA for over a year now which is insane. I miss my friends at times, and I did miss my 5 yr class reunion which was a bummer, but I guess thats life. We had intended to come up and visit this summer, but we both had job changes so it didnt allow for that. We were both bummed. This will be the first time, this coming weekend, that his parents have even met our new puppy, Bruiser, as they don't exactly make the effort to come down and when we do leave GA we tend to go to my lake.

Ok I think thats enough for one day........not sure what else I can say.

So I'm sitting in my Paralegal class and I'm bored out of my freaking mind, so I thought I would do a monthly update.

First, I really like my job. Its really interesting and 90% of the people I work with are very cool and easy going and easy to talk to. Other than my REALLY high maintenance boss, everything goes pretty smooth. He isn't too bad, just demanding and he feels the need to explain things over and over which is frustrating as all ge out


OO class is over early!

Wow! So its been a REALLY long time!!! David got a new job really far away from where we live but its a HUGE raise, so he can deal with a 55 mile one way commute. Around here, everyone seems to do it!

I'm still searching for a new job since I'm leaving Starwood. My boss has a HUGE stick up her ass, like beyond huge and while I like the people I work with, nothing else is working. I REALLY hope to get on with this intellectual property law firm. It would be a super cool area to get in to and a real niche so once I had the experience I could be set for a while. Its the type of law though where you have to have a certain undergrad degree I dont have, so I couldnt practice it, but at least I would have the knowledge.

Speaking of school, I'm starting Emory paralegal school in July. It is two nights a week and I would get a paralegal certificate with the Emory name on it. I realize its not law school and some of you out there may be disappointed in me, but such is life. I didnt get in to law school this year, so I have to put it off a year. We'll see where things stand in October when I need to re-take the LSAT which is why I didnt get in this year.

So wanna hear something wierd? My ex-boyfriend has now moved to Atlanta and we have been hanging out with him. Its pretty cool, just a little strange.

Ok I think that was a record long update for a while. Maybe next time I get this drunk I will update again, and yes, I typed this whole thing while I'm drunk.

So we aren't pregnant, but I did a) get a new job and b) we bought a house all in one day!!! The new job is with Starwood Hotels as a legal admin assistant. It is a pay raise plus I get benefits!!

The house is a townhouse in Kennesaw, Georgia. Its about 10 miles north of where we live now, its brand new, never been lived in, and we close 2/24!! I can't wait!! I'm so ready to own my own house and not have to worry about losing my security deposit every time something happens. I don't have pics, but the builder is touchstone homes if you are ambitious!

The only thing that would make things better is if I got my acceptance letter......

So we went looking at houses today..........we found one we absolutley love, 5 bedrooms 3 baths, we don't even have enough furniture for it!!! Unfortunately while you don't have to have money for a down payment thanks to the federal government you do have to have money for movers and insurance and that jazz..........I think that is going to prevent us from being able to get it :-( We had a very expensive month around here and while we do have savings its not that much! I wish the stock market wasn't losing money so I could pull my investments and not lose money on them, but I can't do that either.

anyway....aside from my misery about not being able to get the house, nothing much else is up around here. Same ole' same ole' My job is awful!!! I don't even want to go in the office anymore, especially not this Tuesday since its billing day which means life is going to be a living hell and no one but me seems to understand that. ugh.......I pray each day that I will get a new job!!!

So TIffany seems to think I need to update......hmm....whats new??? Well, I am actively seeking a new job, I am praying I get into Georgia State Law school next fall, and I love Atlanta weather!

I still hate my current job, and so I'm submitting my resume everywhere!! I had a meeting last week with one of the honor societies from school, Sigma Alpha Lambda, about possibly becoming a traveling leadership consultant. I would travel to chapters and help them out and observe and such. I hope I get the job, the hours would be so much better and I would get to have my own schedule with no office!! YAY!!!

We had christmas photos yesterday so you all need to get me new addresses so I can send you a card!! We figured this was the most efficient way to let everyone know our new address since we had no idea what we were doing at the wedding.

So I'm a year older...........I guess I'm kinda glad to not be 21 anymore because it seems that a negative conotation comes along with being 21 and I didn't quite fit that title. Ok so maybe I did a bit in DC while I was doing a bar crawl, but mainly I wasn't your typical 21 year old, so I'm glad not to be 21 anymore. It was wierd, especially here in a big city, saying that I was married and only 21. People didn't want to believe me!!

Oh well!! Jenni is in town this weekend and we are going to the spa today as part of my birthday present. David totally came through this year whcih was nice since he didn't do anything the last two years!

Work sucks, but I took the LSAT last weekend so hopefully I will have a good score and start day school next fall at Georgia State! That would be awesome!!!

In other news, we are trying to sell my Trailblazer! I never really liked it from the beginning, we were kinda pressured to buy it because we thought the GM pricing was ending like that night, so we bought it before I really had time to appreciate it and want it. I love the color, but thats about it. Its sluggish on hills, which we have here in the south, it also pauses when you accelerate hard, so I can't shoot in front of traffic because the car in going in front of will probably hit me. Its fully loaded, so its a pretty sweet car, just not quite what I want. Don't get me wrong, I have no idea what I want, but we'll see what happens. We have it listed on this website called craigslist.com It is horribly addicting!! Its a free classified website and there is a different website for many major cities, including indy, across the country.

ok I think that is enough for now! Oh, in other news as well, we are no longer coming home for homecoming. We thought we were going to get to hang out with everyone, but some people don't seem to care so we have decided to save the gas money and do something else that weekend.

Well its been a while so I thought I would do a quick update. Things are going well here in Atlanta. David really likes his job and mine is so so. I Have one boss that is a complete jerk so I'm taking the LSAT October 1 soI can go back to school next fall. Nothing like a crappy boss to give me motivation to get my degree!!

Chief is doing well, he's a whole 6 months old now and 10 pounds now. We are looking to get another dog so he can have a playmate, but David keeps saying no! Its not for my lack of trying though!! I'm holding out for my birthday :-)

So my parents have already been down twice so I wouldventure to guess they will be moving within a few years.


So I never thought I would say this, but I do miss Terre Haute. I miss Sonka's, Crossroads Cafe, and my friends, but not classes!! go figure...........

You all need to come visit!!

David got a job!!!! This is so exciting and we couldn't be happier!! Things were starting to get stressful around here and this totally fixes the problem. It is with an environmental engineering firm that is pretty small. He really wanted the job so this is perfect and the money is good and willbe a huge help around here.

In my world, I got a new car!! I got a 2005 Trailblazer LT. I have been wanting one for some time, and with the GM pricing plus the trade from my jeep, it was good timing.

Work is going fairly well. The other girl leaves Friday and I can't wait. She treats me like I'm an idiot and its driving me nuts!! It has been nice having her do everything though, but Monday will be a wake up call. I have work email!!! You all should email me at LCorbin@cohenandcaproni.com :-) Its official!!
